Celebration of Life Ceremony

PEAK SEASON

Celebration of Life Receptions offer Family members & guests a chance to spend time together & celebrate their lost love one’s life in a more casual setting. Although a celebration of life reception is more casual and social than a funeral, it is still a somber event. While sharing memories of the love one lost you may laugh, and you should, but it is important to remain respectful and if alcohol is to be served at the reception you should feel free to drink, though a degree of moderation should be maintained. Children are usually welcome, but, as at a funeral, should be on good behavior.

In some communities the family of the lost one will host the celebration & want to supply the food. If this is the case your Celebration of Life could be held at “The Museum of Treasures” on the other side of our lake. If a guest would like to contribute something to the Celebration of Life, it is always best to check with the family member coordinating the event. Desserts are always welcome at “The Museum of Treasures”.

External Professional Caterers
• Caters Must Supply Own Serving Dishes, Chafers, Serving Utensils, Heating Oils & Cake Cutting Knives (NOTE: there are NO COOKING FACILITIES IN THE MUSEUM)
• External Caterers must supply their own disposable plates, cups, cutlery & napkins
• Caterers must clean up their catering stations & guest tables, removing all disposable plates, cups, cutlery & napkins, wipe down tables & take away all of their rubbish.
i.e. Room must be left in the same state it was received otherwise cleaning charges will apply. A Damage Deposit of $300 will be paid by client 2 weeks prior to event and held by Lakeside Reflections. TheBONDwill be refunded within 14 business days once venue is inspected and deemed left in the same state it was handed over to client in. 
• Lakeside Reflections takes a 15% SURCHARGEof the total catering bill of external, professional caterers. The catering bill must be presented to lakeside Reflections 2 weeks prior to the event along with final balance of rental fee & cleaning bond.
